Jamie Lee has been writting lyrics for some time for new songs. She just completed a new song and is collaborating with Glenn Taylor of Taylor Made Productions. Glen will also produce the song from his studio. The song will be out in July, 2010. It's turning into a great song with hours and hours of work. Putting a song together from scratch is a very interesting process. If you're in need of a studio, I would recommend Glenn to anyone. He has years of experience and neverending patience.

Jamie's new song has been completed. You can get a preview of the song on the homepage by clicking the title of the song. The song will be released at the end of the summer at her CD release party with other new songs to come. It was an experience for her doing this song, the first in a series for her new CD. The song was produced by Glenn Taylor of Taylor Made Productions and written by Lisa Ratner. The song which was redone by Glenn and Jamie went farther into production than she has ever gone before. With 45 tracks and doing all the lead and background vocals it's an experience which will go a long way into developing her other new songs to come. Many thanks to both Lisa and Glenn for their help and professionalism.

 Jamie Lee had a show with Garry Colletti & Al Russo at Mina's Restaurant on Saturday January 23rd. There were 120 people that had to be turned away because of room and we'd like to apologize to all that couldn't get a ticket. There will be another show in a couple months when Jamie is finished with another original song in the studio. Watch this site for a date. We will hold this in a bigger venue so all wishing to come may attend. Also appearing for the new show will be Garry Colletti and others. We want to thank all that came out to support Jamie. National High School Teen Idol

There were many talented performers at the competition. Everyone did an amazing job performing. The semi-final round is where Jamie distinguished herself as one of the frontrunners in the competition. Her rendition of Celine Deon's "The Power Of Love" was the best she has ever did with the song. While the song itself is challenging to sing to say the least, Jamie belted it out like she had been performing it for years. The final round is where everyone was nervous and to be quite honest, she sang well but, not as well as she had done in the semi-finals. Everyone took a little step back because of nerves but, she did enough to win over the judges and take 1st. place. The prize for winning is to have a song written and produced for the winner and Jamie is in the studio recording the song now. It will be put up soon.

Jamie Lee Will be Appearing At The Smiling Rhino Theater In The Play,

 "Jack & The Beanstalk"

Jamie Lee will be performing in the play "Jack & The Beanstalk" as the Housekeeper. The play will take place in January and information will be on the Performance page with all the information you'll need if you wish to catch the play.

Jamie Lee performed at the Apollo Theater on Tuesday December 23rd. and her journey ended on that night with the "Top Dog" competition. "It was an awesome experience" she said. Cards, CDs and phone numbers were exchanged as were some fond farewells to newly made friends. Jamie started getting booed as she  stepped to the microphone but, not enough before she won the majority of the audience over that were at the Apollo for the show.  As is known, the Apollo crowd can be ruthless to contestants and it looked as though she might be booed off the stage but, as she sung she won the crowd over. She made it into the final voting for the night while one by one the contestants were voted off. With five people left and only one spot left for them to go on to the final rd. it seemed as though she might actually pull off a spot into the final night but, she came up just a little short. As with all competitions, you're at the mercy of the crowd and this was not her night. The Apollo was a great competition and the people of the Apollo were some of the nicest you'd ever want to meet. It was privilege and an honor to meet and compete with all the talented people in the competition. Jamie wishes the best of luck to the people going into the "Super Top Dog" final night and hopes to see them again sometime in the future.

Jamie Lee performed at the legendary "Cotton Club" on Monday night Dec. 1st. in Harlem NY. Singing with the 14 piece Cotton Club Orchestra was a great experience for me said Jamie. She was excited to be performing at a place that had so much history. Many great performers have graced the very same stage and she was honored to be able to perform on that same stage. The audience was great and many were tourists from several different countries. She was a little embarrassed when people took her picture saying, "they think I'm somebody". It's a great show and a very entertaining night. The food was excellent and atmosphere that of the old time night clubs of the era.

Jamie wishes to thank "Ron" (the MC) and the Cotton Club Orchestra for the kind words and the chance to perform. Jamie was invited back and will be performing again in January. We will post the dates at a later time if anyone is interested in seeing Jamie perform there again.

Jamie Lee will be performing at the Apollo Theater for Amateur Night At The Apollo. She got through the second round with a standing ovation from a very tough crowd that booed off over half the contestants on the stage. The third round called "Top Dog" will be on Dec. 23rd. on Tuesday night at The Apollo Theater in Harlem, NY. We will post how you may vote for Jamie if she makes it through again.
